EVERY LINE IS REAL
Contour lines drawn from the land itself
Each design starts with U.S. Geological Survey 3D Elevation Program data for one exact location. We trace contour lines at an interval suited to that landscape, so the summit, ridges, bluffs and valleys on your shirt or mug are the ones you actually walked, skied or drove past. Every design carries the place name, state, elevation and GPS coordinates.

FAQ
Topo map gift questions
Is this a real topographic map of the place?
Yes. Every Topo Map Designs product is drawn from real elevation data for that exact location, so the contour lines match the actual terrain. Each design is labeled with the place name, state, elevation and GPS coordinates.
Where does the elevation data come from?
From the U.S. Geological Survey 3D Elevation Program (3DEP), the national lidar-based elevation dataset. It is public-domain survey data; we turn it into contour lines and lay out each design by hand.
Which places do you map?
Mountains and state high points, ski areas, state and national parks and hiking areas in 12 Midwest states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. New places are added regularly.
What products can I get?
Unisex T-shirts in light and dark colors, ceramic mugs and vinyl stickers, with more product types on the way. Open any product to see its sizes and colors.
How long does shipping take?
Every item is made to order and usually ships within a few business days. Delivery time depends on your location and is shown at checkout.
Where can I see the full catalog?
The complete Topo Map Designs catalog, organized by state and place, is at mapgiftstore.com.
